Qualcomm Platform에서 XR은 VR or AR을 의미합니다.
- VR : Virtual Reality (가상현실)
- AR : Augmented Reality (증강현실)
VR과 AR에 대한 많은 설명이 있지만, VR은 일반적으로 가상의 공간을 만들어서 활용하는 사례이고, AR은 현실 세계의 환경에 사물이나 정보등을 합성하여 보여주는 사례가 일반적입니다.
실제 양산사례를 보면, Meta Quest2나 Lenovo A3 제품들이 있습니다.
Qualcomm의 Solution에는 XR Platform과 같이 자체적으로 알고리즘을 처리할 수도 있지만,
Glass는 Viewer 와 Camera 입력 역할을 처리하고 휴대폰과 같은 외부 Device를 통하여 Process를 처리하는 AR Platform도 있습니다.
